Bulbs and Books: A Spring Swap
Bring a plant, take a plant. Bring a book, take a book, you know the drill!
Equipment, plants, books, tags — all of the above.
Invest a little time in growth and joy with your friends at The Hope Collective! Whether you have plants to share or you’re starting from scratch, join us for a kind-hearted plant swap. Indoor, outdoor, perennial, or annual — bring them along so they can find a new home. Have extra pots, tools, plant tags, or supplies? Bring those too! There are so many neighbors who would love a hand growing their green thumb.
We’re also hosting a book swap—bring gardening books, plant care guides, seed catalogs, or any favorite reads you’re ready to pass on. Swap a book, discover new ideas, or take a cozy read home to enjoy with your next cup of tea.
There will be a treat table with a spring potluck vibe — bring something to share or just come enjoy the goodies.
Gardeners are GENEROUS—bring a cutting or a plant if you can, but you don’t need to in order to participate. If you’re just beginning, please stop by to add to your greenery and connect with fellow plant-lovers. No fee to join. We’ll be accepting voluntary tips to support The Hope Collective staff and a local farm.
At the end of the day all excess plants, books, tools and goods will be donated to youth-driven garden initiatives. Emails are out and we are eagerly awaiting to see who would like to accept. Please check back to see who we will be supporting.
Optional items to bring:
Tables or picnic blankets if you want your own display space
Labeled plants or tags with care notes (helpful but not required)
Small pots, trays, or paper bags for people (or yourself!) to transport plants
Snacks to share for the potluck table
Please register so we can prepare for the love and make enough space and treats for everyone. We can’t wait to grow with you in the old Howland-Gould building — a cozy, historic spot perfect for swapping stories and seedlings.
